Hi, I'm Ameya (uh-may-ya). I'm 24, born and raised in Mumbai. A little over two years ago, I moved to the States to pursue a master's in computer science - and I did it! graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst earlier this year. Go Minutemen!
I now live in New Jersey and work at IntellectAI where I build applied AI and full-stack solutions for commerical insurance workflows. My work tends to sit at the intersection of machine learning, backend engineering, and making complex systems feel simple :)
Before this, I helped build SpecGenie at a small stealth startup; one of those rare teams where everyone wore five hats and learned ten things at once. I joined when we were just four engineers trying to decipher the world of EPC teams. It was chaotic, fun and deeply rewarding. That experience made something click for me! I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.
I’ve also had the chance to explore research, collaborating with Apple. Working closely with mentors like Min Li, Saloni Potdar, and especially Wenlong Zhao shaped how I think about problems... how to cut through noise, ask sharper questions, and let ideas evolve through constraint rather than complexity.
In the long run, I hope to end up in football (or soccer, if we must). I’ve loved the sport for as long as I can remember, and I’m fascinated by how data, modeling, and decision-making are quietly reshaping the modern game. Every now and then, I tinker with football analytics just for fun, and one day, I’d love to work at European football club.
I write sometimes, mostly reflections and small stories (check it out!). If you’d like to read them in sequence, you can find them here. I curate posters, make far too many playlists, and play football whenever I get the chance! You can explore my poster wall here here. I love learning - computer science, philosophy, math, literature, physics, and economics. I want to be a medium through which the world moves: to absorb ideas, understand them, and share them in ways that matter.
PS: This site is my little corner of the internet :) a place to explore what I’m building, thinking, reading, and trying to make sense of. Feel free to wander around. Reach out to me if you'd like to chat!
